GODFREY is one of the hottest comedians on the circuit. Growing up in Chicago, he constantly got in trouble for misbehaving and being an all-around class clown. Godfrey’s Nigerian parents unknowingly encouraged his bad behavior by showing him classic comedy films from an early age. While performing impressions of his college football teammates, Godfrey realized his irreverent style of comedy might be more than just a hobby.
Godfrey’s talent landed him several high profile projects. His performance in Zoolander has achieved cult status; he is recognized across the country as the beloved “7UP Guy” from 7UP’s national advertising campaign; and he has cracked up moviegoers in Johnson Family Vacation, The Cook Out with Queen Latifah, Phat Girlz starring Academy Award-winning actress Monique, and Soul Plane, alongside Snoop Dogg. For years, Godfrey provided pop culture commentary on VH1 as a talking head and also appeared on Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen.
As one of the most dominant forces in the comedy circuit, Godfrey is in demand as both a host and a standup headliner at the nation’s premiere comedy clubs. Godfrey has performed at comedy festivals in Montreal, Toronto, and Chicago, as well as the Just For Laughs Roadshow.
With his fourth appearance on BET's Comicview, a guest starring role on 30 ROCK, and his own half-hour special for Comedy Central under his belt, Godfrey is clearly on the verge of super-stardom.
Mark Normand’s “relentlessly punchy writing and expert delivery” (The Laugh Button) has made him one of today’smost talked about comedians, and a favorite of the New York comedy scene. Recently Mark has appeared on HBO’s 2 Dope Queens, a sixth set on TBS’s Conan, and a return to NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and Comedy Central’s Roast Battle. 2016 and 2017 included stops on CBS’s Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Seeso’s What’s Your F@%king Deal?! Comedy Central’s This Is Not Happening, Horace and Pete and return appearances on Comedy Central’s Inside Amy Schumer . Mark’s first hour long special Amy Schumer Presents Mark Normand: Don’t Be Yourself premiered in 2017 on Comedy Central, and is now available to own, along with an album of the same name.
Previously television stops including a Comedy Central HALF HOUR special, Showtime’s SXSW COMEDY WITH W KAMAU BELL, MTV Other’s INSIDE JOKE, the TruTV series WORLD’S DUMBEST and HOW TO BE A GROWNUP, Comedy Central’s @MIDNIGHT, and NBC’s LAST COMIC STANDING. Mark also won Caroline's March Madness competition, beating out 63 other comedians, and released an album with Comedy Central records titled “Still Got It”. This is a shocker for all of us but he was also voted Village Voice's "Best Comedian of 2013", I know right?
Mark was born and raised in New Orleans, LA surprisingly to two normal parents. As a kid he spent most of his time shooting short films and wetting the bed. Mark started doing comedy right after college and quickly moved to New York. Mark now does comedy clubs and colleges across the country and has been involved in many festivals including Portland, Seattle, DC, Boston, and was featured as a New Face at the Montreal Comedy Festival. Mark performed at the Melbourne Comedy Festival and Moontower Comedy and Oddity Festival in 2016. Mark is a constant podcast guest, appears often on Sirius XM radio, and when home in New York Mark runs two comedy shows and two podcasts. His podcast "Tuesdays with Stories!” with co-host Joe List, also tours.
More annoying accolades: Mark was previously named one of Comedy Central’s Comics To Watch, one of Esquire’s “Best New Comedians 2012”, Splitsider’s “Top 10 Up and Coming Comedians on Each Coast”, Time Out New York’s “21 New York Comedy Scene Linchpins” and Paste Magazine’s “10 Comics That Deserve Their Own Show”.
